With Kontakt Scripting, Instruments can have custom control panels called Performance Views. This allows you to control Instrument settings without switching into edit mode and allows you to create a custom user interface. In this video tutorial, I will show you how to control a Simple Filter in Performance View.
Continuing our look at setting up custom performance view options in NI Kontakt, this lesson looks at building one for a group simple filter. This means less back-and-forth between the front and back end of Kontakt and can save you a lot of hassle. It may seem like a daunting task at first, with programming involved. But this is actually a fairly painless process and pays off big time in the end!
If you are new to making your own performance view in Kontakt, be sure you take the time to look through some of our other exclusive tutorials on the topic before you depart. And if you have any questions at all, please let us know. We’re happy to help you figure it all out.
The Simple Filter is a combination of a lowpass and a highpass filter designed to facilitate quick sound shaping with little coloring effect. To achieve this, a modified 1-pole ladder lowpass and an Adaptive Resonance (AR) 2-pole highpass was used.
